Just two hours North of Phoenix, Sedona is a great place to visit and take in the sights and living there is not much different. The beautiful and unique Red Rock State Park is located about 20 minutes South West of downtown Sedona or about 8 ½ miles. It’s easily accessible along Highway 89A to Red Rock Loop which leads directly to the state park. The park is open seven days a week and provides a movie theater, guided walks, Ranger programs, and lots of natural habitat. Oak Creek travels through the Red Rock State Park and is part of the Coconino National Forest. Folks travel from all over to get a glimpse of the beautiful Cathedral rocks and red rock landscape unlike anything in the state or even the country for that matter.
