LITTLE ELDON TRAIL
Head out on this 6.4-mile out-and-back trail near Flagstaff, Arizona. Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 46 min to complete. This trail is great for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are April through November. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
The first half of the trail is well-marked and lush, full of shade. The second half of the trail is more desert-like and very difficult to follow, so it is recommended to download the offline map to help with navigation. Some of the basin has a cut-away portion of red rock spires/cliffs that tower high on your right. This section of the trail "ends" at the intersection of Sandy Seep and Christmas Tree Trails. Heart Trail also picks up here. Highly recommended for good shade, well-marked paths, and ever-changing scenery.
