COURTHOUSE BUTTE LOOP
The Hike around Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte is an enjoyable easy to moderate 3.2 mile (plus distance from the parking lot of approximately 0.2 to 0.3 miles) hike with some rock stair stepping.
There are two parking lots which you can use to hike this trail. One is South of Bell Rock, next to Oak Creek Village, the other is just North of Bell Rock (towards Sedona). (Bell Rock is shown on the right) Be sure to use the Kiosk to obtain a day use park permit.

This trail is quite easy to hike compared to many of the other hikes in Sedona. There aren’t any significant elevation changes. The path is wide in many parts, which allows for easy passing of other hikers and mountain bikers.

Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or a casual adventurer, this trail is one you can navigate. If the distance is just too much, you can opt to just hike around one of the rock formations instead of both.
