Uptown is located just north of South Sedona, east of West Sedona about 10 minutes from the Village at Oak Creek. This unique blend of history, shopping, social activities, restaurants and the main hub of the visitor activity is one of the best places to be in Sedona, especially if you are new to the area or you'd like to check out more of the commercial side of Sedona.
There are sidewalk cafés, coffee shops, galleries, fudge and ice cream shops, beautiful art and refreshing fountains found along Main Street. The Sedona Arts Center is a Sedona institution and includes a school and gallery.
For those that are into history, Uptown Sedona is the perfect place to learn about the Pioneer history of our area. Take a stroll through the Sedona Heritage Museum or have a picnic at the Jordan Historical Park.
Uptown is also the location of many festivals and parades throughout the year. We enjoy the St. Patrick's Day parade, the National Day of the Cowboy in July, Moonlight Madness Street Fair every Labor Day weekend, Art Nights on Main Street in October and safe Halloween trick-or-treat events as well as her holiday tree lighting and Santa visit in December.
In addition to festivals, there are fabulous restaurants and things to do. You won't want to miss the Cowboy Club at the Silver Saddle, a high desert style gourmet restaurant with Texas size portions. Check out Creekside dining at Cress on Oak Creek for three and four-course dinner and tasting menus. This is just a small "taste" of the restaurants in Uptown. There are dozens of restaurants, activities, and nightlife.
