Summer Events in Sedona Arizona

Many love to come to the red rocks to have fun, but Sedona has a lot more to offer than just hiking and shopping. This summer is chalk full of events and festivals and RE/MAX is pleased to share some of the favorites for this 2013 season with you.Summer Events in Sedona Arizona

The "Red Rock Posse", Sedona Main Street Program and area businesses present a free event full of gunfights, roping, bullwhip cracking, re-enactments, storytelling, music, artist and all things "cowboy" during the 9TH ANNUAL NATIONAL DAY OF THE COWBOY CELEBRATION. This event is located in Uptown and Sedona Main Street District on Saturday, July 27 from 10 am to 8 pm. Visit SedonaMainStreet.com for more information.

The SEDONA HUMMINGBIRD FESTIVAL celebrates Sedona's peak hummingbird population in August with tours of gardens and hummingbird "hangouts" or hot spots, fun and educational presentations, a hummer/nature shopping mall and possible banding demonstrations and birding trips. August 24 through September 8 is the RED ROCKS MUSIC FESTIVAL. Check out RedRockMusicFestival.com for a complete line up of world acclaimed classical and jazz musicians as well as modern dance.

Finally, to wrap up the red rock fun of 2013's Sedona Summer, on Saturday, August 31 from 12-9pm through September 2 is SEDONA'S 27TH ANNUAL MOONLIGHT MADNESS STREET FESTIVAL AND SIDEWALK SALES. In Uptown Sedona you can expect to enjoy free music, entertainment, activities for all ages, plus sidewalk sales. This event is also presented by The Sedona Main Street Program and area businesses.
