Sedona Named one of 2014's Best Small Towns

Have you ever heard the old saying, "God created the Grand Canyon but He lives in Sedona?" Well, if you've ever been to this land of the red rock, you'd probably guess it's true! Smithsonian Magazine agrees anyway. They've selected Sedona, Arizona as one of the top 20 small towns in the US. Sedona comes in at an admirable 8th place!

The article talks about how Sedona's always been dedicated to fine arts whilst set against a breathtaking back drop of the finest scenery. It speaks of jaw dropping pinnacles, hoodoos and buttes all changing hues in the color and particular slant of the sun. It's enough to inspire anyone to canvas and paint even if you haven't an artistic bone in your body.

Later, the article mentions Sedona's restaurants, hotels, shops and public artworks. Of course, the Chapel of the Holy Cross and the Church of the Red Rocks are mentioned. Beauty this divine, brings anyone to spiritual awareness. It's no wonder the old saying as stated at the beginning mentions that God makes his residence here. We figure if Sedona is God's pick for putting down roots, maybe it should be yours too!
